i thought crissy had a good idea... and i decided to make a post so that it would reflect the extra day of 2004 on my blog. i hope you made the best of this extra day.
last night was fun. we went on a group date... it was a triple date, plus kyle and sean's friend's brother. i came up with the idea that we should either go to the movies (since we hadn't been in a long time) or go play miniature golf. we were going to call sean up after we ate dinner, but they called us while we were cooking, so the planned turned out to be miniature golf at boomers, then D&B's for a little drinky-drinky and arcade games. we had fun... i beat andy 2 out of 3 for air hockey. and andy beat me one with one less stroke for miniature golf. after that, we headed down to D&B's and i had my first guinness. in the commercial it looks so thick it looks like sand. but it wasn't bad at all. i actually had their Irish half & half, which is kind of like a Black & Tan (a guinness and something else, i forget), but this was guinness and harp. the guinness is so dense it sits on top of a regular beer. it's nuts. then after that i had a miller lite and it was like water. i think alot of lite beers taste like water, but after the guinness it really was nothing.
today was okay. me and andy had a meeting with a photographer, then we came home and took naps because we've been so tired, then we went to neneng's cause my mom made dinner for neneng's bday. oh, and this lady came to drop off some girl scout cookies that ronald had ordered a few weeks ago and she brought extra cookies. she sold around 16 extra boxes of cookies to andy, neneng, toto, and kyle. it was like her jackpot.
and now i just finished something else i can cross off my wedding to-do list. yes! well, i've got other stuff i have to do now. my boss isn't going to be at work all week! :) just kidding, he's pretty laid back so it's not like i hate it when he's there. but no matter where you work or how cool your boss is, whenever the boss isn't there, it always feels like there's a different atmosphere. iz a farty-farty! wow, is it already march????

they're perrrrrrfect!
i had auntie laila make me some magnets. they are for the wedding. and they turned out great! i'm so happy because they were kind of a nightmare to finally make and get them to auntie to order. but they are done and they are just as i wanted. thank god for small favors.
i really don't know how many more times i can talk about how busy i am. yes, i'm just busy.
CONGRATULATIONS, chakee and kyle, on getting your licenses! wow, more milestones just to point out how much older i am. actually, i don't feel too old, but it is a reminder.
it's the first friday of lent and i didn't give up anything. i have nothing to give up. again, i'm too busy to indulge in anything. i can't even indulge in sleep to give that up.
i've had some weird dreams lately. last week i had a dream that julena started talking. it was trippy. i even tried calling neneng and ronald at 9am to tell them because it was so crazy. but no, she's not talking yet.
i also had another dream earlier this week that i missed the ww meeting. it was quite disturbing and i was very upset about it.
my thoughts are all over the place. i'll come back with some semblance of real, complete thoughts some other time.

not your ordinary kind of valentine's day
what a strange little weekend. mine (and neneng's since she was there for all of it) was filled with endless wedding tidbits. you know, all the little things that make a wedding come together. but i won't bore you with the details, because wedding planning, is indeed, BORING. i mean, there are fun things to do, but making sure all the shit gets taken care of is insane in the membrane nuts. i will say, though, that i have ordered my dress and OOOOO-WEEEEE... when it comes in, i'll be in heaven. not heaven to still have to get it altered, but once it is in my grubby little hands.. well, one less thing to have to worry about.
so, our valentine's day was pretty unorthodox. me and neneng drove up to costa mesa, came back, i dropped neneng off, and went home to take a nap. i was so tired from getting up early and running errands, all i wanted to do was sleep. but everyone and they's mama (well, my mama, at least) kept calling. my mom wanted to know something, neneng wanted to know if we wanted to go with them to the mall, so i just got up. neneng, ronald, and minus miss shae picked up me, andy, and miss kyle to go to UTC. ronald needed work shirts, and we were gonna eat there. we ended up deciding not to go to red robin, which looked like the only thing open, and went to trophy's. i've never been there. what's the deal with the butcher paper on the table? well, whatever, me and neneng played dots while andy, kyle and ronald played rousing games of tic tac toe and hangman. anyway, after that we decided (neneng's suggestion) to battle downtown to go to ghiradelli's. parking was a huge nightmare so we went home. but first i tried calling toto to see if we could go to his work to have dessert. he said we couldn't cause we were wearing jeans... later he found out we could have, but by the time he called us, nobody heard their phone. oh well.
so yesterday, we went down to CV. chula vista for those not down with the lingo. we went to clyde and j's house. then we went to eat at zarlitos (my request) and j met us there. it was so yummy! that place is so good, considering trying to cut back on food, it's a good thing that place is far. anyway, we went home, and neneng and i gave julena a bath.
so, one more thing. we (a big bunch of us) are going camping. if you are interested (and this invite is open to EVERYONE) let me know. we will probably be going the weekend of april 2, 3, 4. we want alot of people to come, so buck up and say you want to join us. if you are not the out-doorsy type, don't worry about it... neneng is going and you can't be less out-doorsy than her. just come along!!

3 points for half of an almond snickers
hmmmm... that was a little desperate of me. i've had a snickers in my drawer at work for when i really wanted chocolate, and today i was pretty hungry. i just think i've been so okay the past few days and the hunger finally caught up to me. anyway, the whole snickers bar would have been 6 points and that's just way to much to be throwing away frivolously, so i only ate half. so, so sad.
anyway, tonight we're going to try on bridesmaids dresses. less "we" and more neneng and crissy. i found a discount bridal shop that will give crissy the dress she wants for almost $40 cheaper. neneng wasn't so lucky... her discount was like $5. actually, i just looked it up and it's like $30. I'll have to tell her about it later. anyway, my last bridesmaid is my old friend jennifer and she's out of the country so this is presenting itself to be a small challenge. but i'm sure it will work out fine.
oh, last thing. when j was here and he was my practice test subject i bought mini hyacinth bulbs from trader joe's and it's potted in a little glass deal, and there are two flowers in it. i decided to call them sam and frodo. sam, of course, is the bigger, fatter flower of the two.

finally, some wedding planning that is noteworthy
i have been in search of my wedding gown for a few weeks. I actually didn't get to physically try on a dress until last friday. after much heartache and not seeing one i loved, i was debating between two on sunday. neneng and i went to one final store today and i've FINALLY made a decision.
i'm so insanely indecisive sometimes. especially when ordering food... i always envision that i'm going to pick the wrong thing and regret it later. and this is the exact same thing. but now that i've had some time to look at more dresses, i'm positive i'm making the right decision. whew... yippee!
also, non-wedding related... at andy and ronald's basketball game tonight... one of their teammates got his tooth knocked out during the game. damn, that was ROUGH.

i have been so busy lately! there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. to do anything!
and now i'm getting sick. andy got sick a few days ago and now i have it. i don't have time to be sick! this is bullshit! ok, just kidding, but really, i don't have time to be sick. i have to go to sleep... must rest up and get better!
