i need to hone in on my mind-reading skizzlles.

in your regular daily life, having to use your mind-reading/assumption using skills is probably something you do without even realizing it. you know, your mind isn't even comprehending most of the things you are seeing when you look around? most of it comes from your brain's ability to just assume.... the desk that is usually always there is usually always there and it doesn't need to register "hey, there's that desk" over and over again. your eyes help in this process. it sees things, registers the big picture, and your brain converts it. it a wonderful mystery how your brain works, and we're all so lucky that it masters what it does. anyway, my point is that there are things and people in this world that require more from you than just the regular old "i've got this figured out, i don't need to make it more difficult." they want you to make it more difficult. they want you to read their mind. they want you to make the assumptions when it makes sense to them, and they want you to read their mind when that makes sense to them, too.

i have so much homework to do before thursday night. how am i going to do that? i have to take an online practice GRE before my class because my teacher wants to see our starting point, and it's 3 hours so i'm gonna be up late tonight doing that. bummer. and tomorrow, i think i have like 35 pages of paper homework. ugh, it hasn't even started and i'm already complaining. okay, i have to take this on with a different attitude:
"this will be good for me."
"i will benefit from the hard work."
"i will look back at this class when i'm in graduate school and wish i had it so easy."

okay, much better.

i'm in the mood for salad. andy agreed that we could go to souplantation for dinner. yippeee! okay, it's time to start shutting down. i'm still at work and i'm just trying to kill time. there's nothing like good old blogger to do that, right?

who's spitting lyrics?

it's really sad when people tell you that you look tired. it's especially sad when you AREN'T tired and you know that you probably just look like crapmania. someone told me i looked tired today, but luckily, i truly am tired. so, it was probably justified like justin timberlake.

i had my first princeton review class on saturday. it was just the intro, and the person who was doing the intro wasn't necessarily your teacher as you may have a class on a different day. but the person running the intro is actually going to be my teacher and she is so hardcore, it's awesome. like i feel like if i'm going to pay that much money for a class (and i indeed, paid for that sonuvabitch myself) then i might as well have someone that is going to kick me in the ass and increase my GRE score like nobody's business. she's cool, though. i'll have to see what she's like come the first class because she may just be so hardcore that i want to jump off a bridge. ah yes, and she refers to herself as the homework nazi. damn, i better get a good ass score.... 7 weeks of nightmarish, busy, all-encompassing hell, here i come!

my mother-in-law came to visit this past weekend. oh, the joys of having a mother-in-law, i tell ya. just kidding... it was a good, very impacted weekend, but it was nice. we ate in little italy on friday night after we picked her up from the airport, ran errands all day on saturday from 9:30am - 8pm, and on sunday, just chilled at home. i'm still tired, even though we took a nap yesterday.

it's funny when people tell you secrets sometimes. especially, when you didn't want to know. but at least people trust you enough to tell you secrets, right? you and i are going to talk at some point, but come on, would you expect anything less?

ok, i have to get back to work... i'm testing today. here's one last thought and look it up as you please. my gre teacher is all about the vocabulary.... so here's a cool word for you spelling bee champs: ignisfatuus.

if it wasn't for martin luther king, you'd still be a slave.

oh, that lindsay.... she's never going to live that story down. but at least she's learning something in school, and paying attention which is good to know.

i'm far beyond exhausted from last weekend. and it's already wednesday and i don't feel like i've recovered yet.

today has been a bad day. first, i dropped a 5 gallon arrowhead water bottle that broke and spilled everywhere, including inside my boss' office. i had to call UCSD's physical plan services to come clean it up. then, i went to grab lunch and as i walked back into my building it occurred to me that i had locked my keys in my office. the only people here were interns and they don't have keys. there went my 2nd call for the day to physical plan services. sometimes i can't believe the bullshit.

anyway, wedding mania was fun. i'll do a bulleted hightlight, just cuz i'm lazy, i've had a bad day and i deserve to be lazy.

wow, lots happened last weekend. there were some funny times. and honestly, sometimes i can't comprehend the balls that some people have. it's impressive. anyway, i said i was leaving work half an hour ago and here i am. i need to rest. congratulations neng and ronald for finally having a marriage that is recognized by god... :) LOL

ok, so now say "THANKS HANZ"

{{with a sweet smile}}}"SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS SIDEWAYS HANZ!"
