i guess we were lucky

i can't believe the luck andy and i have been having lately. it's incredible... but incredible bad, NOT incredible good. so, i've been sick for about a week now and i'm about 8% better than i was last week. i think i'll just stay sick for, oh, i don't know, another 3 weeks. that sounds good. anyway, let me give you the rundown.

so i took thursday and friday off work last week. i wasn't planning on taking thursday off, but one of my co-workers was telling me that i sounded really bad and to just stay home. "alright, fine." i say. then on friday, i wake up and i'm coughing up lungs, so i decide to just take another day off. no harm, no foul. so, that day andy and i finished all of our christmas shopping except one person. and we actually don't have to get that before christmas, so anyway....

so, let's recap saturday: so, i get up... i'm being wonderfully productive. i start laundry, i finish painting andy's camouflage room, i start painting the upstairs hallway bathroom, i'm on a roll. and mind you, we have time warner's christmas party to go to that night so at some point my happy ass needed to start getting ready. so, as i'm putting in another load of laundry, i realze we have no hot water. Hmmmm... okay, so i tell andy. turns out, our water heater is irremediable. so, andy calls someone right away, they come out to fix out water heater and BAM... $817 shelled out on something we weren't planning for.

so we go to the party, neneng, andy and i drop ronald off at work after the party and the plan is for andy to pick ronald up from work at 10:30am so they can get started on the tile first thing in the morning. andy and i get up at 9:30am on sunday and piddle around the house a bit, and we decide to leave at 10am to go to home depot first, then pick up ronald... but UH-OH.... ANDY'S TRUCK IS NOT IN OUR DRIVEWAY.

yessiree, andy's truck was stolen yesterday. just to save you the suspense, we have it back, but that was some shit yesterday, i tell you. if you are unlike neneng and want your car to come back to you if it's been stolen, get that LOJACK installed in your car. from the time andy reported it, to the time andy got a call that it was found, it took 2 hours. anyway, the dude that stole it was caught driving the car, and homie had the windows rolled down and the sunroof open like he was cruisin' and having good times, good times. he even had the CAJONES to change andy's presets on his radio... oh, no you diiien't! he even bagged up andy's stuff in a plastic bag so he could get comfy like he was going to mail it to him later. anyway, if you want the full story, you can probably hear it at new year's.

so my title has to do with a thought i had while andy was reporting the truck to the police. you see, both andy and my cars are parked on our driveway, not in the garage. and we both have our garage door openers in our car, so this guy could have easily opened our garage and come in our house and possibly hurt us. or even stolen stuff out of our garage, i have everyone's christmas presents out there. anyway, perspective folks, perspective.

oh, and by the way.... i truly hope she's worth it.
