he has a name... and his name is FIDELIS
so, we ended up getting a puppy on monday after i had blogged that morning. it's a boy and he ROCKS. it took us a couple days to name him and we decided to name him Fidelis (as in SEMPER FIDELIS... which is the marine motto for "always faithful"). he seems to be responding well to the name. i've been really busy since we got him cause i spend most of my time following him and meya around. i forgot how hard it is to house-break a dog. and i've definitely forgotten what it's like to have a puppy around that chews on everything it sees. i just wait for him to pee and crap on our floor. but i'm hoping it won't take very long if he can start following what meya does. also, i have to watch the two dogs together cause they wrestle, and even though there aren't any signs that meya would hurt him, i still worry. she's super gentle with him and they are so cute together. but i think meya is waiting for the slumber party to end and is wondering why this dog won't go home. i'm gonna take him to the vet tomorrow to take advantage of the free vet check up that they gave us when we adopted him. we got him from Helen Woodward and a few of his brothers are still there. he was part of a "7 dwarves" litter. anyway, i don't really have a lot of time to blog... i gotta go back out to the living room and work on my GRE vocab. it is so freakin hot and that vocab is eating me alive!
btw, j, if you want to see and get to know a big dog while it is still a puppy, come and see ours! you'd like him alot i promise... and maybe we can banish that pesky phobia of yours!!!!
