me and glenn used to date?
this has been a fun weekend. on friday night we went to go see "bruce almighty." i am definitely not the biggest jim carrey fan, but at least i pick the ones that i can sit through to watch at the movie theater. "the truman show" was pretty good and so was "bruce almighty." it was pretty funny. i don't know if i think the line and the insane amount of people that were there to watch it was worth that movie, but whatever. we did it and we came out like champs. on saturday, i woke up with an even better idea. i made me and the boys breakfast and suggested that be the day we go out looking for PUPPIES. i promised andy (a very fatal mistake) that we could get another dog when neneng and ronald moved out. he's been wanting another dog, but with the 4 people, dog and cat, it was just too much. but with us three here, and meya, and since kyle is pretty good about helping out with meya, it put me a little more at ease with getting another dog. (i really don't want another dog, though cause that means less spoiling for meya but SHHHHHHHHHH....) so we went to the shelter and the humane society, and then we went to helen woodward, which is a place in rancho santa fe that has animals, but they don't euthanize them. anyway, we found a couple guys we liked, so i think we're going to take meya up there this morning and test them out. that night we watched "italian job" cause they were having a sneak preview. damn, that movie was worth watching just to see mark wahlberg sleeveless and playing basketball TWICE. yummy. it was a good movie too. when that bad boy comes out, go watch it.
yesterday we took a trip to the LBC. actually, we went to go pick up andy's friend, dave, who lives in paramount, then we went to long beach to go see glenn and mike, and andy's friend, alex (and his kids) met us at glenn's. we all went to have lunch. i went to starbucks and added a los angeles starbucks mug to my collection, then we went to the korean freedom bell. i'd never heard of it, but supposedly it was in "usual suspects." we ran around and took pictures and let the kids play at the playground and watched glenn try to show me some yoga poses and decided it was time to do something else. we went to downtown disney and hung out there for a while. nobody bought anything, and everyone looked really sad to see that it wasn't very big when we got to the end of it. after that, alex left to take his kids home, glenn drove all of us back to his house so we could pick up dave's car, glenn stayed home and we picked up dave's sister (and our car) so we could go out to dinner. we went to the cheesecake factory in redondo beach. that is a nice cheesecake factory. it's right on the ocean and it's two stories. i had pad thai noodles (i think that is all i will ever order from that place cause it is DAMN good) we hung out, dave's sister stole a glass, and we all went our separate ways and the three of us came home. we were all so tired, but it was fun to hang out with friends that we don't get to see very often.
oh yeah, and andy told his friend, alex, that me and glenn dated for 3 years while i was in high school. and that glenn is around 40-years-old. and he never told him it wasn't true the whole time we were up there. so, word to the wise, don't believe anything that comes out of andy's mouth.
